Honeyman Laboratories is an independent, MHRA-approved cGMP facility specialising in microbiological and analytical testing for the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries. From routine water analysis to complex cleanroom and product testing, we help our clients demonstrate compliance, safeguard patients, and maintain control of their critical systems.

Our Heritage

Honeyman has been serving regulated industries for more than 30 years. Founded as a family business in the North East of England, we remain part of the Honeyman family today. That continuity has shaped a culture built on integrity, technical excellence, and customer trust.

In 2022, Honeyman Laboratories became part of the Praeluceo Group, bringing together Honeyman’s laboratories, water engineering, and training activities under one umbrella. While our focus is the laboratory, being part of a wider group means our clients benefit from access to engineers, consultants, and trainers who understand every stage of pharmaceutical utility and contamination control.

Innovation and Recognition

Our history is rooted in innovation. The Honeyman Group received a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation for the HydroGienic® water system, a technology that redefined how high-purity water can be generated and distributed. What We Do

At Honeyman Laboratories, we provide a comprehensive range of microbiological and analytical testing services, tailored to the needs of pharmaceutical and life sciences companies.

• Water Testing – Microbiological and chemical testing of Purified Water (PW) and Water for Injection (WFI), including TVC, endotoxins, TOC, conductivity and compendial compliance.
• Microbiology Services – Bioburden and sterility testing, microbial limits, endotoxin analysis, and pathogen identification/absence testing.
• Environmental Monitoring – Cleanroom air and surface testing, compressed gas and steam condensate analysis to GMP standards.
• Product Testing – Raw material and finished product microbiology, tailored to client specifications.
• Method Development & Validation – Bespoke method set-up, validation, and troubleshooting support.
