Sample Submission
Information on Sample Submission Requirements
GMP and our internal procedures require detailed and accurate sample information to process samples in a timely manner. This is required for both sample traceability, and the health and safety of our valued staff.
If possible, Safety Data Sheets for all materials submitted should be shared to your laboratory contact prior to submission, this will allow COSHH assessments to be performed in advance of handling.
Once sample submission has been arranged, and relevant health and safety arrangements made, samples should be labelled with the following:
- Your internal Sample ID
- Date and Time of Sample
- Sampler Initials to ensure samples are attributable under 'ALCOA+'
- Sample contents, For example Purified Water or Product name (matching relevant SDS)
All sample deliveries should be accompanied by an appropriate sample submission form and SDS to ensure there is no delay in logging and processing materials received. Our team will assign an 'HGL number' to each individual sample for traceability within our laboratory paperwork system. Please also ensure that the required storage conditions are specified on the form, so that we are able to appropriately store the sample prior to analysis. Relevant forms are listed below:
